• Stop Skin Thinners: Discontinue use of Retinol, Retin-A, Vitamin A & E (ingestible too), Glycolic/Lactic acids, AHAs/BHAs, and any exfoliating or “anti-aging” products 2 weeks before your appointment. Unsure about your skincare? Email me for assistance.

• Waxing & Tinting: Complete any waxing or brow shaping at least 1 week prior. Brow tinting should also be done 1 week before.

• Botox/Fillers: Schedule Botox or fillers 2 weeks before or after your appointment.

• Avoid Alcohol & Caffeine: Do not consume alcohol or caffeine 16 hours before your appointment.

• Blood Thinners: Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin, Fish Oil) 48 hours before your session. Consult your doctor if you are on prescribed blood thinners. Appointments will be rescheduled if blood thinners were used within this period.

• Skin Conditions: We cannot tattoo over rashes, abrasions, rosacea, moles, acne, etc. If active acne is present, the appointment will be rescheduled.

• Surgeries: Any recent major or minor surgery will require a doctor's note.

 

Specifications for Lip blush:

• Cold Sores: If you’ve had cold sores, take an anti-viral prescription (Valacyclovir, Denavir, Valtrex, or Acyclovir) at least 1 week before the procedure to prevent outbreaks, which could lead to scarring.

• Lip Preparation: Keep lips moisturized by applying balm and exfoliate them 1-2 times daily for 3 days before your appointment (use a mix of sugar and honey).

Conditions Requiring a Doctor’s Note for Permanent Makeup:

• Diabetes

• Hemophilia

• Recent cancer/chemotherapy

• Thyroid issues

• Autoimmune diseases

• Eczema, Psoriasis, Dermatitis

• Epilepsy/Seizures

 

Appointments will be rescheduled without a doctor’s note. For your convenience, please get clearance before booking.

 

Considerations Before Booking:

• Scar Tissue: Scar tissue may not hold pigment well and could result in lighter areas.

• Raised Moles: I cannot tattoo over raised moles, which may cause gaps in pigment.

• Sun-Damaged Skin: Sun damage and tanning can alter the color of your PMU over time.

• Smoking: Cigarette smoking may affect pigment color over time.

• Coarse Brow Hair: If your brow hair is very coarse, microblading strokes may appear thinner than natural hair, resulting in gaps. I may suggest alternative treatments.

 

Aftercare Instructions:

• Brow Aftercare: Avoid getting your brows wet for 2 weeks. No pools, saunas, or jacuzzis. Use a shower visor and avoid makeup on the brow area during peeling/scabbing. No workouts or direct sunlight. You’ll receive a jar of ointment and soap with detailed usage instructions.

• Lip Blush Aftercare: Keep lips clean, dry, and moisturized for the first 7-10 days. Use a straw for drinking, avoid salty or spicy food, and no kissing or friction on lips for 7 days.
